Ghana went to the polls on 7th December, 2016 and on the eve of 6th January, 2017 the life of the Sixth Parliament ended when it was dissolved. The Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic was then ushered in on the 7th of January, 2017 when the new Hon. Members of Parliament were sworn into office.
