This Privacy Policy governs the mobile applications Parliamentary Watch and Parliamentary Watch TV (collectively, the "Applications"), developed, published, and maintained by Parliament of Ghana ("we," "us," or "our").
We are committed to protecting user privacy. This policy outlines our practices regarding data collection, usage, and disclosure through the Applications published on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
Parliamentary Watch and Parliamentary Watch TV are designed to provide public access to parliamentary proceedings, live broadcasts, documents, and legislative news without requiring user registration or account creation.
The Applications operate without requesting or accessing sensitive device permissions (such as camera, contacts, microphone, precise location, or local device storage). Standard network and internet permissions are used solely to stream live video feeds and load public parliamentary content directly from our official website at www.parliament.gh and our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@parliamentofghana816.
The Applications do not integrate third-party advertising networks, remarketing tools, behavioral tracking tools, or third-party analytics services.
To deliver live broadcasts and video proceedings, the Applications access public video content hosted on YouTube (via embedded video players). By using the Applications to view video content, you interact with YouTube's public platform services. YouTube may collect non-personally identifiable technical data or standard web request log data (such as IP address and user-agent information) required to serve the video streams in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Because our Applications do not collect, store, or transmit any user data or personal information, there is no risk of personal data exposure, unauthorized access, or server-side compromise resulting from the use of these Applications.
Our Applications are intended for a general audience interested in public civic engagement and legislative proceedings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or local legal equivalent).
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws or updated App Store and Google Play Store developer policies. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
