The Clerk to Parliament, Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, has opened a four-day parliamentary modernization programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Parliamentary Service and improving legislative processes through technology and institutional reforms. Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Parliamentary Training Institute (PTI) Mr. Djietror stated that the programme will help modernize Parliament by improving legislative drafting, records management, ICT infrastructure, and staff capacity. He noted that these efforts will enhance Parliament's efficiency and support the passage of laws that promote national development. The programme, being held in collaboration with the House Democracy Partnership (HDP), brings together officials from the Parliament of Ghana and the U.S. House of Representatives to share best practices on legislative workflows, digital systems, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in parliamentary administration. The four-day engagement is expected to strengthen institutional capacity and lay the foundation for continued collaboration between the two legislatures.
