The Member of Parliament for Bunkpurugu, Hon. Abed-Nego Lamangin Bandim has paid tribute to the former Member of Parliament for the then Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo Constituency, the late Hon. Duut Emmanuel Kwame, describing him as a humble and dedicated public servant. Delivering a statement on the floor of Parliament, Hon. Bandim said the late former MP affectionately known as “Teacher Yupiong” which means “Teacher with gray hair” devoted nearly 30 years to education before serving in Parliament, where he continued to support students and vulnerable people with integrity and compassion. He extended condolences to the family, the people of Bunkpurugu, the National Democratic Congress and all who are mourning his passing, and called on the House to observe a minute silence in honour of the late former legislator.
