The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has sworn in Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency. At the commencement of the sitting today, the Rt. Hon. Speaker, led Hon. Baba Jamal to administer the oath of office and the oath of allegiance before he was ushered to his seat as the MP representing the people of the Ayawaso East Constituency in Parliament. The Rt. Hon. Speaker gave the newly sworn-in MP copies of the Constitution and Standing Orders as basic tools to aid his practice as a law maker. The Rt. Hon. Speaker urged Hon. Baba Jamal to be accountable to the good people of Ayawaso East, stressing that he will personally focus on him on the floor to see how he performs in serving his constituents. Leadership of both caucuses took turns to welcome Baba Jamal and urged him to do his best to serve his constituents and the country.
