Parliament has commenced debate on the motion to thank H.E. the President for the Message on the State of the Nation which was delivered to Parliament on Tuesday 9th March 2021.

 

The motion was moved by the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah who commended the President for his leadership role in fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

About 24 Members, 12 from each side of the House debated the motion which centred on the Energy, Agriculture, Roads, Health, Communication, Housing, Security, Education among others.

 

Some of the MPs who had the opportunity to debate on the motion include the MP for Bolgatanga Central Hon. Isaac Adongo, MP for Ablekuma West Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, MP for Yapei/Kusawgu Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, MP for Sekondi Hon. Andrew Egyapa Mercer and the MP for Bosomtwe Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

 

The rest were MP for Pru East Hon. Kwabena Donkor, MP for Ellembele Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP for Bongo Hon. Edward Bawa, MP for Nhyiaeso Hon. Stephen Amoah and the MP for South Dayi Hon. Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor.

 

The debate is expected to be concluded on Thursday.
