Parliament Wish All Parliamentary Candidates Well in the 2020 Elections

On Monday, 7th December 2020 all registered Ghanaians are expected to go to the polls to elect Members of Parliament to represent their constituents and perform their constitutional duties.

Parliament recognises the hard work of all Members of Parliament seeking for re-election to continue their legislative, deliberative, representative and oversight of the executive functions as enshrined in the Constitution and the Standing Orders.

Parliament would like to wish all sitting Members of Parliament seeking for re-election as well as all new Parliamentary Candidates looking forward to becoming MPs well in the 2020 general parliamentary election.

Largely the campaigns of all Parliamentary Candidates have been commendable. Parliamentary Candidates are however reminded to be extra careful in their utterances and in their dealings during and after the elections in order not to jeopardise the existing peace in the country.

Parliament looks forward to working with all elected Members of Parliament in harmony at the commencement of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
