MP for Ho West Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah
The Member of Parliament for Ho West Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah has called on delegates to move beyond discussions and take concrete steps toward lasting action to implement the charter of the conference.
Speaking on behalf of the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin at the third day plenary session of the 4th African Inter-Parliamentary conference hosted by Ghana’s Parliament, he stressed the importance of creating a permanent institutional framework that would oversee the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the commitments contained in the conference charter.
Hon. Bedzrah noted that the success of the conference would depend not only on the ideas shared but also on the structures established to ensure those ideas are put into practice.
He concluded by urging delegates to adopt the charter, establish the necessary structures, and commit themselves to building a strong, effective, and sustainable African inter-parliamentary network on family, sovereignty, and values.
With this, he believes the resolutions agreed upon would become a living framework guiding policy, strengthening cooperation, and advancing the aspirations of the African people.
