The Corporate Strategic Plan (2026–2030) of the Parliament of Ghana formally launched

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has formally launched the Corporate Strategic Plan (2026–2030) of the Parliament of Ghana, describing it as a bold step toward deepening the country’s democratic foundations. He noted that the Plan reflects a shared commitment to strengthening parliamentary democracy, enhancing transparency and accountability and rebuilding public trust in the institution that represents the people. According to him, the Strategic Plan was crafted in direct response to current national realities and the growing expectations of citizens who look to Parliament for responsive and effective leadership.

The Speaker further highlighted that the Strategic Plan is the outcome of extensive consultations, collaboration and careful deliberations among key stakeholders. Guided by the vision of building a model, people-centered Parliament that secures unfettered liberties for all citizens and ensures equal opportunities for inclusive participation in governance and development.

He explained that the five-year blueprint sets out a clear and forward-looking vision for a modern, inclusive and proactive Parliament and called on stakeholders to approach the implementation of the strategic plan with diligence, unity of purpose and a firm commitment to national progress.

Also in attendance were the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, the Clerk to Parliament Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, Leadership of the House, Directors of the Parliamentary Service and representatives of Civil Societies.
